Princess Lollipop has been ill since the end of last week and hasn't been in school until today. Yesterday afternoon she was full of energy, playing normally and apart from a bit of a cough and sniffles perfectly well enough to return to school. She was overjoyed with the prospect of seeing her beloved teacher and all her friends again, and didn't even complain (much!) about having a bath and her hair dealt with. She's been so under the weather and dealing with her hair involves either a bath, or soaking her hair while adding hair butter and letting it air dry, that I haven't done anything with it since last week!! It gets very tangled, very quickly and easily if I don't keep on top of dealing with it, so it was quite bad :-( Apart from a couple of objections when I encountered a particularly tangled section, Princess Lollipop didn't complain a bit - proving that she is well enough for school :-)
She couldn't wait to get there and we were ready bright and early and waiting for the teacher to open the gate, rather than our usual rush in at the last moment! She was more than happy to hang up her bag and coat, and go to sit on the carpet. I told her teacher that I'll be at home if Princess Lollipop does need picking up any earlier, but I don't think I'll get a call :-)

The Latest Escapade!!
I got that sinking feeling when half an hour before school finishing time, their number showed up on our call minder system! I didn't feel any better when the caller announced that it was Little Prince's Teaching Assistant!! Oh boy what has he been up to this time!?! It turns out that over the weekend when he was playing with his friend C at C's Grandparent's pub (literally across the road from our house) they found a pile of cigarette butts. Little Prince wasn't content with just stamping on them and kicking them about, he had to pick a still burning one up and "smoke" it!!! Luckily he doesn't actually know how to smoke and just blew on it, phew!! When confronted about this in the Head's office, he immediately confessed, and said he doens't know why he did it, he just puts everything in his mouth, which is very true! He and C got a telling off from the Head, and were told their parent's would be informed.
Little Prince emerged very subdued and contrite from school, he realised immediately that he wouldn't be playing out that night and didn't even ask if he could. I had a quiet word with him once we got home, but told he wouldn't be shouted at any more, and that I just wanted him to realise the dangers of putting anything and everything in his mouth. He promised he wouldn't do it again - which he probably won't, he'll come up with something else instead!!

Monday Morning Feeling Sort of Day
Princess Lollipop had yet another bad night, she was sneezing throughout the night, and her nose literally EXPLODED each and every time!! I was up and down with tissues all night. Obviously she isn't well enough to return to school yet, I'm sure her teachers don't want to deal with that nose every few minutes!! Some things only a Mummy will do willingly lol.
Mr Messy and LMS have taken the day off, and I think they both deserve it and more importantly NEED it!! They have gone off to a local historic town to spend the day photographing, and I hope they have a lovely, relaxing time there.
I've had to cancel my Craft Class today, as I'm at home with Princess Lollipop, fingers crossed she's better by next week so I can go then. I'm really looking forward to going :-)

Family Do Nothing Day!
Princess Lollipop was very disturbed during Saturday night, and was definitely not well when she finally woke up. Unfortunately neither were Mr Messy or LMS, I'm not ill (touch wood!) just very tired from being up and down all night dealing with Princess Lollipop.
Mr Messy had an unheard of lie in, and didn't emerge until lunchtime! LMS woke up earlier, but after a while was so tired she went for a nap. Princess Lollipop didn't want to do anything at all, except lie snuggled up with me on the sofa and watch DVDs.
Poor Little Prince was very bored with all of this, especially as he was grounded for coming in an hour and a half late the night before!! He was playing with his friend who's family run the Pub over the road and said he didn't realise what time it was!! I didn't think I'd be ringing the Pub to find my son THIS young lol. After his medicine had taken affect he was able to finish most of this weeks homework, I don't like having to give him his medicine at weekends, but he has to start getting into the habit of finishing his homework.
