I was totally bummed out by yesterday's conversation with DfES (what ARE they called now???), well the part where they said it could take up to two weeks for our papers to be sent to CCAA, I was totally HAPPY that our papers were back from the Chinese Embassy :-)
After some encouragement from my Golden Piggies group I rang DfES again - and pointed out our China medicals are going to run out next month (they have to be less than 12 months old when they arrive at the CCAA). Today's lady checked our file and said everything has been looked over and is correct, that they have the correct IMOs there ready, so it shouldn't take two weeks to send to CCAA!! What a difference a day makes!!! She said to leave it with her and she would check with the person in charge of our file - what a HUGE HUGE relief :-) I'm so hoping our papers can be sent off early next week - I want them GONE!!!!!! The backlog of prospective parents waiting in the queue at the CCAA is growing daily - I want to get in that queue!!!

Hopefully you'll be DTC next week. You need to be logged in before the medicals run out.I think CCAA are logging in very fast at the moment.
After speaking to the lady on the phone today at DfES I'm pretty confident that we'll be DTC next week (hopefully not famous last words!!). I've noticed that LIDs are allocated very quickly after documents are received at CCAA - so that is great news :-)
