Mr Messy is home safe and sound, despite the best efforts of roadworks and bad weather :-) Its a huge relief to have him back, and know that the weather didn't get him!!
I've been busy while I've been waiting, it stops me worrying lol. I've sorted out MeiMei's Squishes and laid them out into what I think is almost, nearly the final design :-) What do you think??

Looks good!! How big are the individual squares? ...just curious!!
Hi Cabbage Queen HUGS,
The squares will be cut to 4 inches, so will be 3 1/2 inches when sewn. The quilt should end up cot sized - if my maths is right lol.

You know that I think its beautiful. You are so much more creative than me. Poor baby Wong will be deprived if they ever compare your quilt tothe OHGW qult that Mummy's just sew in plain box's.
Just make sure you have a rotary cutter! Or send them to me to cut:) It makes such a difference when they are all cut by rotary. Trust me!

Hi S,
I'm not creative - just good at pinching other people's good designs lol. And its all just squares and triangles - I think yours with the sashing and blocks looks way more creative than mine. Perhaps Baby Wong and MeiMei will want to swap when they are older lol. You'll have to send me details of what rotary cutter to buy (and idiot proof instructions on how to use them!!). Sorry I've still not emailed its school hols and Little Prince is poorly and clingy, I'll write as soon as I can.

Hey my friend Janet--Long time no talk--we need to catch up--I've been nute--but I have to say--I LOVE this quilt design--put a HUGE smile on my face! AND it's goregeous! I must say it was especially fun for the first time to see a quilt with a piece of my world (my fabric sq-wish for MeiMei) woven into the quilt. AND my heart was so warmed by the fact that you were able to use all of it--it three places--and most touching is that they are all located (on purpose or by fate) in the HEART design--and even more--one on the east--one on the West and one in the center (bottom of the heart)...all of which can be interpeted in many ways--she is from the east and we from the west and she was born from the love from the bottom of your heart. Or she is in the hails from the East--I am from the West and her mommy is from in between the two of us. Either way--I am so touched and so moved by this quilt. I hope MeiMei knows how much we all anticipate her arrival and how much we all care for you and wish her sooo much love and blessings in life--the first of which is to be with her mommy and daddy! Thanks again--for touching my heart from across the seas.
On another note--my quilt only has about 12 squares at the moment all are soooo precious to me. But not enough for a quilt yet. I'm impressed with all the love MeiMei has around the world--as evidenced by this beautiful quilt of wishes.
With Love from your July LID'r friend Lisa.
Hi Lisa,
Lovely to hear from you :-) I've sent you an email :-)
Love
Janet
