Stomach in Knots!

Ever since our dossier was confirmed to be delivered my stomach has been in knots! Everytime my email programme says its getting a new message, it knots even more!!! And now I've just heard of another UK match, its getting worse!! I think we are now next in line!! Not that there is a line the way UK people adopt from Ethiopia! It is more like the UK domestic adoption system, where a child is matched to you based on your profile in your homestudy. At least I've got a busy day tomorrow so I'll have a break from being in front of the computer!!! But I'll be rushing to check my emails the minute I walk through the door!!! Must calm down, must calm down, must calm down!!!!! But then again perhaps the permanently tense stomach muscles will improve my flab! Or knowing my luck I'll just get permanent indigestion lol

Hi Janet,
Yes they have thanks, it only took a couple of days. Just got to wait and see what happens!

Went to look at pre-schools for her majesty today, saw a great one that is also very multi-cultural, keep your fingers crossed we get a place! Can't believe our little girl is so big now!

Hi WL,
Now your papers are actually in the right place, I'm sure that everything will go smoothly from now on :-) Let me know how things go.
Wow!! Your little Princess can't be that old!! She's still a baby!! Although seeing her recent photographs she is a young lady now :-) And growing more gorgeous all the time :-) I bet she still has Daddy (and Mummy lol) wrapped round her little finger :-)

Will it be that quick, bloody hell!

Hi Rosie,
So sorry you are finding it so hard at the moment, big hugs ((((((((()))))))))
We just don't know its all down to if there is a baby that the orphanage thinks would thrive in our family. It could be today, next week, next month... But most previous UK adopters haven't waited much more than a couple of months to be matched!!!

I can only imagine your angst! It's exciting and frightening at the same time! I can't say I have it everyday all day -- yet -- but, I get a twinge of it here and there when I see emails pop up from my agency--or a phone call from Virginia! So...hang in there my friend. Remember to ENJOY this part of the journey too--it's as much a part of the beauty of this precious journey as the day you meet her. :) Yeah..that's easy to say--I know it's hard to do--but sounds like you're doing your best to distract yourself! Praying for peace for you--and quick referral to your precious daughter (I love how that sounds don't you?) Lisa A

Hi Lisa,
It does feel so exciting and scary all at the same time, waiting, wondering, wishing...
We've got a busy weekend this weekend, as LMS is home from Uni tonight till Sunday. So that will be a lovely distraction :-) Then I'll have to think of some more for next week lol. I keep looking at all my lovely quilt squares and thinking I should get on with that!! I just need to work out how to use my rotary cutter to cut them to size lol.

Janet--it's so funny you mention your quilt. I too had a conversation with my mom just on Monday that I was itching to get Izabella's quilt done. Although I don't have squares from some very important people yet...(i.e. MY MOM..hint, hint mom). She said we'd go fleece shopping when she visits this spring--they don't have good fleece selection in Vermont...ah! :) So...yes, get'er done. OK..I'm no help on th rotary scissors..that's why I decided on a NO SEW quilt. Ha! :) Sounds like a GREAT weekend ahead...enjoy my friend.
