More Sunday

When Mr Messy and Drama Teen finally got back from their photoshoot, I decided that me, Mr Messy and Princess Lollipop would go to the Toy Shop to look for ideas for Little Prince's birthday. Despite trawling the WHOLE huge shop we only came up with two ideas!! A Kidizoom Video Camera and a pair of Clone Trooper roller blades! Both of which I'm sure he'll love, but that doesn't seem much to be getting him!! He is now so difficult to buy for that its becoming impossible to think of things to get him!! Typical male lol!!

Princess Lollipop insisted on going to "HOT" when she saw we were near to McDonalds! And she was totally thrilled to get a Scooby Doo toy :-) When we got home Little Prince and Drama Teen were watching a Harry Potter dvd, while Drama Teen got on with her homework. Drama Teen scooted off upstairs at the first chance she had, but she does have a Maths paper due in tomorrow so I'll forgive her.

I left Mr Messy with the littlies while I went to start sorting out my tip of a computer desk. I took a break when I made Little Prince his tea, but apart from that I carried on working at it all evening (apart from dealing with Princess Lollipop)! There was a lot of paperwork to sort through!! I found things I'd been looking for for ages!! I've still got more to do but the majority of it is now done :-)

Mr Messy got Princess Lollipop ready for bed and she settled down very easily, however she woke herself up coughing an hour or so later, I managed to get her back to sleep pretty quickly. However, the second time she woke up she would NOT settle back down, after an hour of trying I took her downstairs and left her in the lounge with Mr Messy while I finished the last bits of sorting out. When I finished I came and joined them watching "pitboll" (football!) and Princess Lollipop was STILL wide awake!!

Sunday

Mr Messy got up with Little Prince and they had "boy breakfast" together - a modified version of an English breakfast (bacon, sausage and eggs). They both love this breakfast and the "boy time" together :-) Me and Princess Lollipop stayed in bed a bit later and by the time we got up Mr Messy and Drama Teen had already left to go on today's photoshoot. Princess Lollipop showed no ill effects from her sickie episode last night and ate up her breakfast with no problems. I, on the other hand, feel rough again :-( My cough has gone worse and I've started to feel achy again :-( I think it might be time to visit the Doctor!

Sickie end to Saturday

I took Drama Teen's Boyfriend home, accompanied by Drama Teen of course, they have to be together every moment they can, bless :-) I was planning to call in the Supermarket on the way home, to get the bits and bobs that Mr Messy and Drama Teen couldn't get the other day. However, while we were still driving I got a call from Mr Messy to say that Princess Lollipop had woken up, thrown up all over him and was crying for her Mummy :-( I hurried as fast as I dared, got Boyfriend dropped off and sped off back home. When we got there Princess Lollipop was completely recovered and spent the next hour bouncing around and playing happily!! She decided her dolly had a "poo-poo bot-bot" and demanded we get out her changing mat and give her a baby wipe to deal with her baby :-) First she very gently cleaned the dolly's face, then she stripped off dolly's pants, subdued her by dropping her on her head and then wiped her bottom :-) It was so sweet to see her playing like this :-) So sweet that we told LMS to Facetime us so she could see it too, she Facetimed us, but Princess Lollipop refused to "change" baby again. She did spend quite a while "performing" for the camera though, which LMS and her Boyfriend find very amusing :-)

While we were doing this Mr Messy was upstairs re-dying Drama Teen's hair, her blue had begun to fade (its only a semi permanent dye) so she wanted it re-dying. When Mr Messy had finally finished he took Princess Lollipop off to bed, I stayed downstairs chatting to LMS for ages then tidied up and went off to bed myself.

Saturday

By the time I woke up this morning Mr Messy and Drama Teen had already left to go to OUR shop. Little Prince had made his own breakfast sandwich and was watching TV and eating everything he could find. After Princess Lollipop had devoured her first breakfast and eaten most of her second - she definitely has her appetite back now, we had a relaxing snuggle on the sofa watching TV and reading books together.

Mr Messy and Drama Teen came back in the mid afternoon, having had a successful day at OUR shop. Someone came in and collected their framing - which they loved and now want more doing :-) Someone else came in and booked a family photoshoot for next weekend, and said they definitely want a large picture at the end of it :-) Drama Teen's Boyfriend arrived not long after they did, although they have spent the whole afternoon/evening in Drama Teen's bedroom watching films - they have to leave the door open and get frequent visits from one or the other of us!! Mr Messy gave the littlies their tea, and Princess Lollipop ate almost as much as Little Prince - and was still demanding more!! She then ate some rice pudding and a fruit sauce and finally seemed full!! Hopefully all this eating will help her sleep again tonight!!

She went up to bed at a very reasonable time and fell straight to sleep for Mr Messy :-) Once she was in bed I started to empty out her toy tubs and sorted out all the things she has grown out of now - I've got another pile of things ready for Baby Sis's Tiny Baby, hope they've got a lot of storage room!! I was just having a snack before starting on Little Prince's toys, when Princess Lollipop woke up! As Mr Messy was eating his pizza I went up to settle her back down, Mr Messy said he would be up as soon as he'd finished eating as I had to take Drama Teen's Boyfriend home. We swapped over settling Princess Lollipop duties, and I set off to take Drama Teen's Boyfriend home..... To Be Continued in the next post!!!

Friday Evening

Mr Messy and Drama Teen went to the Supermarket not long after the littlies had eaten their tea. Little Prince's play got wilder and wilder and after he'd hurt himself numerous times, I decided enough was enough and got him to get ready for bed. It was only half an hour before his normal bedtime, so it wasn't a huge deal really. He protested and sat on the floor and said he wasn't moving, but I managed to get him to go and get ready without too much more fuss. I heard him crashing and banging about in his room for ages afterwards, so I know he didn't go straight to sleep! But at least he was upstairs and not charging around down here and risking hurting Princess Lollipop! And besides if I hadn't got him to go upstairs I would have got really angry with him and then we would both have been upset!

Due to her earlier "power nap" Princess Lollipop was NOT ready to sleep at bedtime, but she did want to stay sat on my knee snuggling which was lovely :-) When Mr Messy and Drama Teen got back home they put the shopping away then came into the lounge, and that was it Princess Lollipop was back to WIDE AWAKE! Drama Teen made herself some of her favourite pasta bake, and all me and Mr Messy felt like was toast for tea.

And now we are watching the strange world of Child Pageants on TV! Its a bit weird watching these tiny little girls (and the odd boy) made up to within an inch of their lives and performing and fake smiling on the stage. And if its weird watching the children, some of the parents are scary! We watched one the other day where the mother visibly favoured one of her twin daughters over the other. It was so sad watching one little girl being told how wonderful and perfect she is, and the other being denigrated and put down at every opportunity :-( The non favoured child won the pageant and was visibly elated, but her sister started going on and on about how SHE had won not the other child and the actual winner deflated in front of our eyes. She looked so sad and haunted :-( I worry about the future for both girls - one who will expect praise and adoration and one who feels she can't compete or compare :-(

Princess Lollipop finally settled down and fell asleep, and despite hearing her disturb over the baby monitor, she got herself back to sleep without needing one of us to go and comfort her - HUGE progress for her :-) She slept well until the early hours of the morning when she crawled over for a hug from Mummy. Me and Mr Messy foolishly stayed up watching TV for far too long and got to bed late, so we didn't get the full benefit of a settled night.

Thank you everyone for your get well wishes :-) It helped to know so many people were thinking of us :-)

Anyway yesterday I finally felt almost normal, a good job as it was Twelfth Night and the Christmas decorations all had to come down! I was shocked at how much it took out of me just taking baubles off the Christmas tree! I was shaking and sweating, so I probably wasn't as better as I thought I was! It took a while, and Little Prince's assistance, but we finally got all the decorations packed away. They are still on the landing though, as I didn't feel up to getting them on the high shelves in the cupboard upstairs! I'll probably get Drama Teen to help me put them in the cupboard later tonight.

Yesterday was also the second day of trying to get Princess Lollipop to manage without a daytime nap! The first time didn't go too well as she woke up after being put to bed in the evening obviously thinking she'd had a nap and was ready to play!! Not fun when its nearly midnight and you're not feeling 100%!! Anyway last night worked a lot better, she was extremely grumpy from teatime onwards, but went to bed at around 8pm and apart from a few grumbles early in the evening she slept. Well she slept till the early hours of the morning and then started crawling all over me and then dozing off again till it was time to wake up.

Mr Messy took Princess Lollipop with him to walk Little Prince to school and while he was out I got the lounge vacuumed and all the furniture back in place now the Christmas tree has gone. It feels a lot nicer to have a my lounge back to normal :-) I've been pottering around sorting laundry, tidying up here and there and chilling with Princess Lollipop. So a productive but fairly quiet day so far, just what the doctor ordered lol. And I'm just about to take Princess Lollipop for a bath and hair condition, I'm determined to keep to a more regular schedule in conditioning her hair (I'm aiming for every other day) so it doesn't get so tangled she cries when its combed through. I'll have to make doubly sure to use loads of Shea Butter on her skin though as such regular baths dry her skin out, but she's too young to be able to cope with conditioning her hair in the sink yet.

Mr Messy has gone down to OUR shop for the first time since we fell ill. He has lots of editing to catch up on, but when he rang just now he said he won't be staying too late as its cold and he still isn't feeling too good. That will work out well as Little Prince starts his swimming lessons again tonight, so I can leave Princess Lollipop with Daddy while I take Little Prince.

Just as I'd finished bathing Princess Lollipop, Mr Messy arrived home. OUR shop was too cold and he had to come back to get warm, he's obviously still not well as he normally doesn't feel the cold at all. I left Princess Lollipop with her Daddy while I took loads of excess Christmas rubbish/recycling to the tip, its the first time I've been out this year!! My car played up a little, probably protesting at being moved after so long too!! By the time I'd filled up with petrol and called at the bank and got home, Princess Lollipop was fast asleep on Mr Messy's knee!! ARGH!!! We'll have to only let her have a very very short nap and wake her up soon, or we won't get her in bed at a reasonable time tonight! And I really enjoyed my childfree evening yesterday!!

Little Prince hasn't had his swimming lesson. His teacher normally rings me to remind me we are starting again after a break, but didn't today. I tried to contact her but couldn't get hold of her. So we drove over to the pool in time for the lesson, just in case it was on, the teacher didn't arrive in time for the lesson, so we presume we start swimming again next week instead! Me and Little Prince arrived home to find Princess Lollipop very unhappy at having been woken up by Daddy, but after half an hour or so of whinging and clinging on my lap, she has cheered up and is playing with her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toy. She is also demanding "bweta" (breakfast!) so I think I'll be cooking tea for the littlies soon!

Poorly

I've got some sort of flu virus, and have spent the last couple of days either sweating buckets or shivering and sleeping. I ache all over. My head hurts. I cough myself awake all night. I don't like this :-(
