Trip to the Zoo

Mr Messy was working on a jobsite that was near to a Zoo today, so me and the kids went over with him and we went to the Zoo while he worked!! We had a lovely time :-) Little Prince had his face painted as Spider Man - although he did try to rub it off when a little girl pointed to him and shouted "Mum look Spiderman"!! We saw lots of animals - elephants, sea lions, parrots, snakes, gorillas, orangutans and dinosaurs!! The only problem we had was when Little Prince saw the Bouncy Castle & Trampolines & Huge Inflatable Slide - being the mean mother that I am, I refused to pay out even more money for 2 minutes of bouncing!! Little Prince had a big melt down and decided he hated Zoos and animals, luckily we saw the cafe and distracted him with food. We ate lunch at the cafe, even though it was only 11.30am - we'd been up very early and breakfast seemed like it was hours ago!! Mr Messy rang us and we went back to the entrance to meet him and his colleague, and spent another hour or so wandering round looking at the animals, before setting off back home. All the running round must have tired out both Little Prince and Drama Teen - they both slept for most of the journey :-) Ahhh peace and quiet at last :-)

It was a really nice day, quite sunny and warm :-) Trouble is I packed the suncream but forgot to use it!!! Look at the picture below and imagine it with blonde hair - that's how I look right now!!!!
