First Parent's Evening

It was Little Prince's very first Parent's Evening today. As soon as Fraulein walked in the door from the college I had to head out the door!! I said "hello" on the way past lol. I had to wait for the family before me to finish, and felt quite uncomfortable sat outside the classroom in the foyer. Its quite sad as I've always felt at home and comfortable in the school before. Anyway once it was my turn, I went in to talk to the class teacher. She was very pleased with the way Little Prince is doing, he has made good friends with another little boy in the class (who has only moved to the village 3 weeks ago!) apparently Little Prince will move his chair round to sit next to Friend, and if there is someone already sat their, Little Prince will squeeze his chair in between them, to get next to his friend!! The teacher said Little Prince's number work was fabulous, and he even surprised her at how well he was doing. She had assessed the children on their letter recognition and Little Prince knows ALL his letters and letter sounds. All he has to work on is his writing, but even that is showing promise and he is trying very hard. The one concern they have is that he has regressed back to putting everything in his mouth (like babies do, he alwasy does this when feeling stressed) and they caught him with a Pritt Stick in his mouth the other day!!

I am so proud that despite his difficulties and how hard he is finding school, he is still performing so well :-) He is a VERY CLEVER little man :-)
