Latest from DCSF!!

As usual I rang the DCSF today to get my weekly update. But like British Rail and most other British institutions it seems they can't cope with a bit of snow!!! The phone was answered by a recorded message stating that the helpline wouldn't be open today due to the weather!!!! I sent a snotty email instead, but I'm not holding out much hope of getting a reply anytime soon!!! I just can't believe how long it takes to put papers in an envelope!!!! They don't even have to post them, as we are paying for them to be sent via DHL - all they have to do is email me to say they are ready!!! For gawds sake how long can it take?!?!?!?!

Oh Janet it's so frustrating isn't it. I know how you feel, it can't be too much longer now.

Hi WL,
I just can't believe it!!! Any news on your papers?? How on earth can they be THIS busy, there are barely any ICAs to the UK each year!?!?!
Urgh!!!

Hi J, no news on our papers yet either. Ours were ready to send a week or two before yours, so we may be slightly ahead of you in the queue (if they are sent off chronologically). Will let you know when we hear something!

Hi S,
Glad to be back too :-) I'm hoping that it won't be too much longer, but I get the feeling it will be!! How on earth did you stand it when your batch was missed FIVE times?? This is driving me nutty!!!

Hi WL,
When I do actually get to speak to the DCSF they insist that dossiers are sent in strict date order. Fingers firmly crossed that they get to both of ours soon!! This wait is horrible!

Hang in there my friend. We saw a news report about the snow over there and how it shut everything down...I thought of YOU! Glad you're ok though. Paperwork will move...it just has to!

Hi Lisa,
Thank you :-) The phone lines have obviously thawed out as I managed to speak to the DCSF just now! Still no good news, so its back to the waiting game :-(
Any news about your change in application?
