Garden Clearance Man was back again this morning. We were supposed to be having a skip delivered first thing for him to put all the excess soil he's having to take out to level the trampoline space, but the skip didn't arrive until lunchtime!! So he got on with some of the other jobs, like jet washing the patios and play equipment and demolishing a bit of concrete that was in the way of the trampoline space.
The Plumber also arrived to have a look at the leaking valve on the oil pipe. He and Garden Man discussed how to make the pipe safe, it should be in a protective sheath and buried underground, not laying along the top of the soil! Once it is replaced and in the correct protective sheath, then Garden Man is going to build a box/bench out of decking wood to cover over the old brick work in front of the garden wall, and to enclose the gas pipe. Hopefully then it will be safe from Little Prince, if he ever does manage to find his Dad's axe again!!!
Garden Man managed to get most of the excess soil into the skip, but didn't quite manage to finish before he had to go home, as he'd promised his partner he wouldn't be late tonight. He is coming back on Saturday to do some more and between now and then is going to work out a price for the woodwork we want him to do. He was very apologetic that things are taking longer than he originally estimated, but I have been adding jobs to the list along the way, so I'm not worried.
When I picked Little Prince up from school, he was grumpy that none of his friends could come over to play! Eventually he rang up a friend who lives a few houses up and invited him round, and luckily T was free and wanted to come!! I can't imagine the fuss that Little Prince would have made if T hadn't been able to come!!
Drama Teen finished College early again, but caught the bus straight round to OUR shop, so that she and Mr Messy could go and collect Mrs LMS and then Mr Messy could take both girls to have their eye's tested and sort out new contact lenses. So once again they were late home, thankfully T is quite a calm friend and Little Prince wasn't too difficult this evening!
